Frequently Asked Questions

Who’s Making This Film?

Tim Hedberg and Chris Jeckel, and a talented team of volunteers.

How Did This Project Start?

After filming a mini documentary about the importance of accessibility for Amazon Alexa, Tim and Chris realized there were more stories to tell about physical and mental transformation in the greater acro community.

How Did We Find Our Stories?

We posted on acro pages and reached out to our networks to source unique stories. After dozens of interviews, we landed on four stories of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Is Acro the Same Thing as Acro Yoga?

“Acro” is a broad term that encompasses many different forms of recreational acrobatics, including acroyoga. Our film follows a group of diverse characters and unpacks this definition as we learn more about each character’s story.

Who is Funding This Film?

The Acro Documentary Team is truly humbled by all of the ongoing support we have and continue to receive from our donor network. In addition to these donations, Tim and Chris are paying out of pocket to help launch this project. We wouldn’t have made it this far without the support from our donors, friends and volunteers in the film and acro communities. Thank you and make a tax-deductible donation here or for convenience, donate on PayPal.

When Will Filming Officially Start?

We have already begun filming principal photography. Our plan is to continue fundraising and filming primary footage through the end of 2024.

Who is the Intended Audience?

Everyone! As much as we want to nerd out on all things acro, we decided to focus on introducing acro and its potential to a general audience.
